Iowa

It rain most of last night & forecast called for 35mph winds. So I
drove over to Muscatine, Iowa to camp at an Army Corps of Engineers
campground on Blanchard Island in the Mississippi River.

A long, gusty drive with lots of corn ending on a 3 mile stretch of
gravel road. But I am camped 30' from the river with a nice bank to
launch my kayak. This is actually a channel between islands There's
Corps "host camper" here, the only one besides me!

It costs $4.00 a day to camp here. I plan on staying 3 days or so.
